Following approval by the German Federal Cartel Office on 29th of April 2026, the transaction is successfully completed on 11th of May 2026 by its closing signature. In March, the Cyclife Group and Bouygues Construction Expertises Nucléaires signed an agreement regarding the integration of Kraftanlagen Heidelberg GmbH and Kraftanlagen Service GmbH into the Cyclife Group. This integration is part of the Cyclife Group’s long-term growth strategy within the EDF Group and represents a significant step towards strengthening its European market position in the fields of engineering, decommissioning and waste management.

On 31st of March 2026, the Cyclife Group and Bouygues Construction Expertises Nucléaires signed an agreement regarding the integration of Kraftanlagen Heidelberg GmbH and Kraftanlagen Service GmbH into the Cyclife Group. This acquisition is effective from 11th of May 2026.

Following the closing, the new group of companies in Germany will be managed by Cyclife Germany GmbH as a holding company. Under its umbrella, the three subsidiaries Cyclife GmbH, Kraftanlagen Heidelberg GmbH and Kraftanlagen Service GmbH will operate as independent sister companies. For customers and business partners, operational cooperation remains unchanged: ongoing projects, contractual obligations, contact persons and operational procedures will continue without restriction. The focus remains entirely on the reliable and professional delivery of services. Through this integration, the Cyclife Group aims to further expand its position as the European market leader in radioactive waste management whilst simultaneously assuming a leading role in nuclear decommissioning.

Covering the entire value chain in decommissioning

The pooling of complementary expertise will enable the Group to cover the entire value chain in decommissioning and the operational servicing of existing facilities in future – from planning, through assembly, dismantling and the treatment of radioactive waste, to clearance and disposal.

In particular, Kraftanlagen’s strong engineering expertise and operational experience in Germany and other European markets represent a significant addition to the existing Cyclife platform. The aim is to further develop the German market as a strong local hub within the European organisation whilst simultaneously strengthening the international presence in the long term. The new group employs a total of around 450 staff at its sites in Hanover, Karlsruhe, Heidelberg and Bremen.

The integration is part of the Cyclife Group’s long-term growth strategy within the EDF Group and represents a significant step towards strengthening its European market position in the fields of engineering, decommissioning and waste management.

Estelle Desroches, CEO of the Cyclife Group says:

“The integration of Kraftanlagen Heidelberg and Kraftanlagen Service marks a decisive step in Cyclife’s long-term strategy. By bringing together our teams, expertise and shared values, we are creating a stronger industrial platform capable of supporting our customers across the entire decommissioning and
waste-management value chain. Beyond the strategic dimension, this is above all a human story — the meeting of committed professionals who share the same ambition for excellence, trust and long-term
collaboration. I am delighted to welcome our new colleagues and confident in the sustainable future we will
build together as one organisation.”

Gordon Hünies, Managing Director of Cyclife Germany GmbH, Cyclife GmbH, adds:

“With the integration of Kraftanlagen Heidelberg and Kraftanlagen Service, we have taken a major and
important step for our group. The existing partnership projects and the excellent working relationship with our new colleagues were a stroke of luck, and I am simply happy and satisfied – I am proud of what Cyclife has achieved, and I look forward to the future and our collaboration.”

Steffen Christmann, Managing Director of Kraftanlagen Heidelberg, adds:

“For me, this integration is far more than a sensible strategic move. It is an opportunity to bring together the
strengths, experience and expertise of all those involved to form a united and powerful organisation within the nuclear industry. I look forward to actively shaping this path together with our employees, customers and partners – with a clear focus on trust, long-term collaboration and a successful shared future.”
