Cyclife operates three facilities dedicated to treating low-level radioactive contaminated metals generated by the nuclear industry. Smelting furnaces are operated in two of the facilities. Cyclife studies each specific request in order to find the best sustainable waste management route in accordance with the waste hierarchy: decontamination, reduction of the volume by a factor of 10 to 15 and recycling of the material.
