Focus on solid and liquid waste treatment
Cyclife operates two radioactive waste incineration units and provides customised solutions for several kinds of waste. Both units process combustible waste produced by nuclear facilities (either during maintenance, operations or decommissioning), laboratories and hospitals.
Types of waste:
- Solid waste: wood, or low-level spent exchange resins, active charcoals, filters, gloves, protective clothes, grease, etc.
- Liquid waste: laundry and cleaning solutions, oils, solvents, bitumen, tributyl phosphate (TBP), boron concentrates, etc.
The two facilities have a capacity to process up to 6,500 tons of waste yearly. Incineration process allows to reduce volume reduction approximatively by 97% and weight reduction by 92%,
